Goalie carousel starts soon; teams need upgrades;

      Coming into Sundays game vs the Washington Capitals; the Philadelphia Flyers had a 3.5% chance of making the playoffs according to Las Vegas bookmakers. If Steve Mason latest injury is of any seriousness, that has gone down to be 0% for them. Saturday night third-stringer Robb Zepp got hurt in the AHL; leaving Ray Emery who has a 3.35 g.a.a as the Flyers only healthy goalie.
       Before the puck dropped Saturday between the Sabres & Stars I tweeted out the following

Well the Stars lost 3-2 to the worst team in the league; Lindback allowed 3 goals on 24 shots. If the Stars miss the playoffs;  keep this game on mind.  But is it just me; but are the Stars not in must win territory; they are 5 points out of the 2nd wild card spot. Lindback has earned the Stars 4 points out of a possible 20 this year.
Two teams need upgrades    
      There are not a load of goalies available at the 2015 NHL trade deadline; but there are teams out there that must improve their backup goaltending spots.
Lindback for Dallas is 2-8 with a 3.71 g.a.a & a .875%; he realizes the 2014 playoffs are over right.
       There is no doubt the Capitals might be in the market for a backup for the rest of the year. Friday they recalled their AHL starting goalie to player over NHL backup Justin Peters.
        Depending on how long the Flyers Mason is out; they might have no choice but to patch things up for awhile.
        Arizona might be looking for an upgrade; their current backup is rookie Louis Dominque after Devon Dubynk was traded to Minnesota.
Isles-Penguins backup shuffle
       Two top teams in the Atlantic might juggle their backup by years end with their AHL starter. The Isles Chad Johnson has been bad at best with a 3.33 g.a.a and a 873%. Kevin Poulin in the AHL has a 2.55 g.a.a with a 923%.
       In Pittsuburgh Thomas Greiss has been just ok while in the AHL Jeff Zatkoff has a league best 2.10 g.a.a. If the Penguins do not recall Zatkoff, he well could be moved to Arizona or Edmonton if the Penguins upgrade in other spots.
Tradebait
      Goalies who could be trade bait include Sabres Jonas Enroff and or Michael Neuvirth. Oilers Viktor Fasth, Avs Reta Berra, Red Wings Jonas Gustavsson.
